Size & care
Every measurement on a product page is the real size of the piece. Here is how those sizes look on you, and how to keep gold-plated filigree looking its best.
Chain lengths
| Length | Where it sits | In the collection |
|---|---|---|
| 36 cm + 5 cm | At the base of the neck (choker) | Tiny Heart Choker |
| 40 cm + 5 cm | On the collarbone, or just below it at 45 cm | Petite Heart, Three Hearts |
| 42 cm + 7 cm drop | A Y-shape down the neckline | Heart Lariat |
| 45 cm | A few centimetres below the collarbone | Grande Heart, Open Scroll, Twin Hearts, Onda, Rosette and others |
| 50 cm | At the breastbone | Heart Locket, Crowned Heart Medallion |
For layering, choose chains about 5 cm apart, for example the 36 cm choker, a 45 cm pendant and the lariat.
Pendant sizes
Pendant sizes are given as height × width in millimetres, without the bail. For reference: 9 mm is about the size of a fingernail on the little finger; 16 mm about a small coin; 38 mm about the height of a matchbox.
Ring sizes (EU)
Our rings come in EU sizes 50 to 60. The EU size is the inner circumference of the ring in millimetres.
| EU | Inner circumference | Inner diameter | Approx. US | Approx. UK |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | 50 mm | 15.9 mm | 5¼ | J½ |
| 52 | 52 mm | 16.5 mm | 6 | L |
| 54 | 54 mm | 17.2 mm | 7 | N |
| 56 | 56 mm | 17.8 mm | 7¾ | O½ |
| 58 | 58 mm | 18.5 mm | 8½ | Q½ |
| 60 | 60 mm | 19.1 mm | 9¼ | S |
How to measure
- Wrap a strip of paper around the finger at the widest point (usually the knuckle).
- Mark where it overlaps and measure the length in millimetres: that is your EU size.
- Or measure the inside diameter of a ring that fits you well and use the table above.
Fingers are slightly larger in the evening and in warm weather. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one; wide bands such as the Scroll Band are best a size up.
Caring for gold-plated filigree

- Put jewellery on last, after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and take it off first.
- Take it off for swimming, bathing, the sauna, sport, cleaning and sleeping.
- Wipe it after wearing with a soft dry cloth. Do not use polishing cloths for silver, abrasive pastes, ultrasonic cleaners or jewellery dips: they remove plating.
- Store each piece separately in its box or a pouch so the fine wire does not catch or bend.
- Gold plating is a thin layer of gold over silver or brass. It wears gradually with daily use and contact with skin, water and cosmetics; how quickly depends on wear and body chemistry. Normal wear of the plating is not a defect.
Safety
Contains small parts. Not suitable for children under 3. Jewellery is not a toy. Keep earrings, charms and brooches away from small children. If you have a known metal allergy, please check the material of each piece on its product page before you buy, or ask us.
