The pieces

What are the pieces made of?

Necklaces, earrings, rings and charm bracelets are 925 sterling silver, gold-plated; some are also offered in plain silver. Brooches are gold-plated brass with a steel pin. Jewellery boxes are covered in velvet. The exact material is listed on every product page. None of our pieces is solid gold.

Will the gold plating last?

Plating is a thin layer of gold and wears gradually with daily wear. Taking pieces off for water, sport and sleep, and keeping them away from perfume, makes the biggest difference. See care.

Are the pieces handmade?

We describe the filigree technique on our craft page, but we do not label pieces as handmade. Small differences in the scrolls between two pieces of the same design are normal.

Are they certified Viana filigree?

No. Our designs follow the filigree tradition of northern Portugal, but they do not carry any certification of origin.

Are the pieces suitable for children?

No. Jewellery contains small parts and is not suitable for children under 3.

Which ring size should I order?

Rings come in EU sizes 50–60. The size guide shows how to measure and converts to US and UK sizes.

Prices and payment

Which currency will I pay in?

The currency you choose in the language and currency menu. The price you see at checkout, with its currency code, is the amount charged. Your bank may add a conversion if your card is in another currency.

Do prices include VAT?

Yes, for delivery within the EU: prices include Portuguese VAT at 23 %. Outside the EU the price is the same, without EU VAT, and import charges may apply on delivery. See Shipping.

How can I pay?

By card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) or PayPal, through PCI DSS compliant payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.

Delivery and returns

How long does delivery take?

Orders are prepared within 1–3 business days, then 2–14 business days depending on the destination and method. See Shipping.

Can I return a piece?

Yes, within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason; earrings only with the hygiene seal unbroken. See Returns & withdrawal.

What if something is wrong with a piece?

You have a three-year legal guarantee. Write to us with photos and we will repair, replace or refund.

Can I order as a gift?

Yes: enter the recipient’s address as the delivery address.
